Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

The original Farmers Market opened in 1928 and has been continuously operated ever since. Over the past thirty years, the produce has been replaced with antiques, and the restaurant and dancehall have sat unused. New ownership has provided an opportunity to redevelop and rehabilitate this magnificent historic structure. New mechanical, electrical, ADA restrooms, egress stairs, and elevators are being added, as part of a multi-phased, historic preservation tax credit rehabilitation. Additional features planned include new acoustic treatments, theatrical lighting, and sound system improvements. When completed, the Market will be redeveloped into a multi-use event center, hosting boxing, wrestling, banquets and receptions on he 15,000 SF second floor space. The first floor will be returned to an upscale market and restaurant.
