Norman, OK
The City of Norman relocated the Water and Sewer Line Maintenance Department from the North Base to East Norman across from Water Treatment to allow the division to accomplish its mission efficiently. Barrett L. Williamson Architects were selected to program the facility and administrative offices. The design solution creates operational efficiencies and consolidates services for the public.
The complex includes a new 6,683-square-foot administration building with a lobby, reception, staff offices, locker/safe room, and a large training/conference room. The project features three separate buildings with the Administration being centered and allows for future expansion. Also included are a 10,511 square-foot water maintenance building with three bays, a meter area and work area, a 9,165 square-foot sewer maintenance facility with five bays, and a 3,632 square-foot covered storage area. A new road from Robinson Street also provides access to the new Emergency Communications and Operations Center.
